I'm looking for a new TV, and I hate how hard manufactures make it to figure out what you are getting. Here are my constraints:-$550 after Shipping and Tax (Prime is nice.). I am confused. My whole HTPC is built but I have not yet installed a TV Tuner. Here is what I want. I am in NYC and use Time Warner Cable and have HD DVR Set Top Box.
The EyeTV software would only work with Elgato's tuners (or if you were lucky, you somehow got a clone of a Elgato unit. Not very likely.) So if the manufacturer of your tuner doesn't offer OSX versions of their software, there's nothing you can do with that model.

Elgato's EyeConnect server and EyeTV software will also support a broad band of USB Tuners but will cost money. There are also different other solutions working with a lot of USB TV tuner's.
